Tanzina Islam:  An anti-war human chain with various anti-war posters written in English and Bangla was held on Sunday, 27 March at Holbrook Avenue in Hamtramck city of Michigan, US.

Bangla Press Club Michigan, US organized it with the slogan ‘We want peace, not war.’

Ajmal Hossain, president of Beanibazar Socio-Cultural Association, Mujib Ahmed Monir, advisor of Jalalabad Society of Michigan, Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, co-general secretary of Chattogram University Alumni Association Michigan, Habib Rahman, general secretary of Baralekha Samiti, Bakul Talukder, former general secretary of Michigan BNP, Akikul Haque Shamim, former president of Bangladesh Association of Michigan, Azad Khan, former general secretary of Bangladesh Association of Michigan, Ali Ahmed Faris, organizing secretary of California State Awami League spoke on the occasion.

Expressing sympathy for the affected Ukrainians, speakers at the human chain urged both Russia and its president Vladimir Putin to immediately ceasefire the war.
