Bangla Shangbad English Desk: The Russian House in Dhaka hosted celebrations to mark the 51st anniversary of Bangladesh’s Independence in collaboration with the Liberation Academy Trust on 28 March.
Members of various educational institutions and organizations from Dhaka were also present on the occasion.
Editor-In-Chief, The Bangladesh Post Mr. Sharif Shahab Uddin thanked the organizers and stated that Russia is a trusted friend of Bangladesh as well as a development partner. The Independent Bangladesh was not possible without the help of the Soviet Union.
During the discussion, Chairman of the Liberation War Academy Trust Abdul Kalam Azad and freedom fighters from different districts of Bangladesh gratefully recalled the role of the Soviet Union and Russia in the overall development of Bangladesh, including the liberation war of Bangladesh and the reconstruction of war-torn Bangladesh.
On the occasion of this special occasion, the Director of the Russian House Maxim Dobrokhotov conveyed his sincere greetings and congratulations to the Bengali nation. During the discussion, the Director drew attention to the historical background of bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and Bangladesh, their continuity and the current progressive developments in the political, economic and cultural fields, and the interaction in higher education, read a media release of the Russian House in Dhaka.
