Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) was ready to let go of Kylian Mbappe this summer. However, a record £213 million prize tag was attached to his name.
After spending the first match of the season sitting on the sidelines, Mbappe scored on his return to PSG’s first team against Toulouse last Saturday, according to the media reports.
In that incident, the French striker indicated that he would advance his future at the club. But new rumors have started about him. This summer, Real Madrid has made a new proposal to take Mbappe’s services, according to local media. The Spanish giants are reportedly preparing a new £103m offer for the 24-year-old France international as a last-ditch effort.
Spanish outlet AS report that the Paris club are hoping to agree a new deal with Mbappe, whose current contract expires in less than 12 months. Still, PSG is ready to let him go if the La Liga club pays the right price.
This is the latest addition to the ongoing drama between these three parties. Despite the expectation of many that Mbappe will eventually join the camp of the 14-time European title holders, his current owners are demanding more than they think.
Despite Mbappe’s decision to leave his boyhood club next year without a transfer fee, PSG showed their anger by sending him to the ‘B’ team for training. The star was brought back to the main team last Saturday after the new coach Luis Enrique took charge.
