Iga Swiatek wins 3rd French Open title

At the French Open on the tennis court, Iga Swiatek’s love seems to be very dark.

Because she is more successful in this clay court tournament than the fourth Grand Slam of her career. This is the third time the Polish tennis star has won in Rolla Garo.

Iga Swiatek won the French Open title for the third time in a row by beating Czech Republic’s Karolina Mukhova 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 in Paris on Saturday (June 10). In total, she won the third title in this Open and sat next to legends like Serena Williams and Monica Seles.

However, she still has a long way to go to catch Chris Evert, the most successful female star of the French Open. From 1974 to 1986, this former American legend won 7 titles at Rolla Garro.

Iga Swiatek also touched Justin Henin by winning this Grand Slam for the second time in a row. Henin last won the second straight French Open 16 years ago. Even before the final, however, Iga Swiatek was getting the title of favorite. The Polish, who had not lost a set in the previous three Grand Slam finals, easily won the first set 6-2 against Mukhova.

However, in the second set, despite leading 3-0 games, Mukhova turned around incredibly and won the set 7-5 games. She went ahead 2-0 in the third set as well. In the end, however, Iga Swiatek won. This Polish won the fourth Grand Slam in four years.
