Bangladesh: Lightning strikes kill 9 farmers

Nine farmers died due to lightning strikes in Bangladesh’s Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, and Sylhet districts.

Farmers of different upazilas in these three districts lost their lives due to lightning strikes while cutting paddy in the Howar area on Sunday (April 23) morning, according to police and local sources,

Among the nine farmers, three people died in Sunamganj’s Chhatak Upazila, one in Tahirpur Upazila, two in Dowarabazar Upazila, one in Moulvibazar’s Sreemangal Upazila, one inKamolganj Upazila, and one in Sylhet’s Balaganj Upazila.
