Bangladesh Business Summit 2023 begins

Bangladesh Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the three-day-long ‘Bangladesh Business Summit 2023’ to celebrate the golden jubilee of The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the country’s top business organization, and to expand business and investment.

PM inaugurated the ‘Bangladesh Business Summit 2023’ at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital on Saturday (March 11) as the chief guest.

The conference was organized by FBCCI in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce and the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority.

Ministers of 7 countries including the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, China, Bhutan, United Arab Emirates and CEOs of 12 multinational companies, more than 200 foreign investors, and business leaders from 17 countries participated in the conference.

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen, Saudi Commerce Minister Dr. Majeed bin Abdullah Al Qussaibi, Bhutan’s Minister of Industry, Commerce and Employment Karma Darjee, WTO Deputy Director General Ambassador Jiangchen Zhang, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, and Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F. Rahman spoke at the event while FBCCI President Md. Jasim Uddin delivered the welcome speech.

About the Summit

The summit was organized on the 50th founding anniversary of FBCCI as part of the Bangladesh Federation of Industries and Commerce Association’s initiative to showcase the country’s economic potential to foreigners by creating new business and investment opportunities.

The conference would highlight the success that has laid the foundation for the sustainable growth of Bangladesh. The conference would play an important role in realizing Bangladesh’s full economic potential, expanding business and attracting investment.

Domestic and foreign participating business representatives register for the conference with a substantial amount of money.

Now Bangladesh has 100 Special Economic Zones and it is giving great importance to business facilitation to advance the economy.

How to join

About seven hundred and fifty people registered for the conference. Besides, a large number of people would attend the meeting without registration.

There will be three sessions on strategic topics, 13 parallel sessions, business-to-business meetings, networking sessions, open house receptions, and guided tours for international delegates.
