Joe Biden to visit Canada this month

US President Joe Biden will meet Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Ottawa and address the country’s parliament later this month.
The White House said this in a statement, reports AFP.
US Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden will visit Canada on March 23 and 24 to ‘reaffirm America’s commitment to the US-Canada partnership and promote our shared security, prosperity, and values.’
He added that Biden and Trudeau will also discuss ‘ongoing efforts to support Ukraine, increasing spending on Russia and their war effort supporters, and dealing with the negative impact of war on the rest of the world.’
Among regional issues, they will discuss the opiate addiction crisis affecting both countries and the struggle to control immigration.
Jean-Pierre also said, ‘President Biden will also address the Canadian Parliament to highlight the importance of the US-Canada bilateral relationship.’
