Shakib Al Hasan enters elite club

Shakib Al Hasan became the first bowler of Bangladesh and the 14th bowler in the world to take 300 wickets in ODI cricket.

Also, Shakib entered the elite club as the third all-rounder in the world with at least 6 thousand runs in batting and 300 wickets in bowling.

Shakib touched the milestone of taking 300 wickets in the third and final ODI of the three-match series against England at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram in Bangladesh recently. He took 4 wickets in the match.

Before the start of the series against England, Shakib’s ODI figures were 294 wickets in 224 matches. Shakib took 2 wickets in the first two ODIs held in Mirpur.

In the third ODI at Chattogram ground, Shakib touched the milestone by dismissing England’s Rehan Ahmed in his ninth over.

After Sri Lanka’s Sanath Jayasuriya and Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi, Shakib set the example of taking at least 6 thousand runs and 3 wickets as the third all-rounder.
