
Bangladesh’s capital faced another devastating explosion.
As of writing this report, at least 16 people were killed and nearly a hundred people were injured in the incident in Gulistan’s Siddique Bazar area on Tuesday (March 7) afternoon.
Health Minister Zahid Malik told the media that 16 people were killed so far. 112 injured people were admitted to Dhaka Medical Hospital. Many of them went back after treatment. Currently there were 67 people admitted.
Meanwhile, the relatives of the victims identified 8 deceased. Among the deceased were Ishaq Mridha (35), son of late Dulal Mridha of Barishal Kazirhat Charsantashpur village, Munsur Hossain (40) son of Mosharraf Hossain of Sheikhdi Paschimpara of Jatrabari, Jahangir Alam son of Dakshin Chun Kutia Masterbari of Keraniganj, Rahad (18), Alamin (23) son of Billal Hossain of Paschim Lalpur village of Chandpur Matlab Upazila, Ismail Hossain (42) son of late Hossain Ali of Banshal Alubazar, Nalchar village of Meghna upazila of Comilla’s Momin’s son shoe dealer in Gulistan Suman (21), Mominul Islam (38) of Islambagh in Lalbagh and his wife Nadi Akter.
Last Sunday (March 5) three people were killed and 15 people were injured in an explosion on the third floor of a building in Dhaka’s Science Lab area.
